Lesson 1: Geography and Landforms

Objectives:

- Learn vocabulary related to geography and landforms

- Identify different types of landforms

- Use new vocabulary in sentences

Warm-up activity:

- Start the class by showing pictures of different landforms like mountains, rivers, and valleys.

- Ask students if they know the names of any of the landforms in the pictures.

- Write down their responses on the board.

Vocabulary introduction:

- Introduce new vocabulary using flashcards or pictures. Include words like mountain, valley, desert, plateau, and river.

- Pronounce the words and have the students repeat after you.

- Drill the pronunciation of difficult words.

Activity 1: Matching game

- Distribute cards to each student with the names of different landforms written on them.

- Ask the students to walk around the class and find the student with the matching landform.
